About Porter :

Porter, started by three IIT Graduates, is an online marketplace for Logistics in India. Our goal is efficiently bring together Logistics Service Providers with Business Owners, while using technology to make the experience as simple as calling a cab.

In doing this, we open up a large Client Base for our Service Providers, and a reliable fleet of Commercial Vehicles for our customers, while increasing utilization of logistics resources available in the market.

In the short period since inception, Porter has expanded to three major metros, and further expansion activity is underway.

Job Profile :

This position involves identifying the business requirements and needs, and implementing advanced analytics approaches to answer business questions and drive actionable insights.

Responsibilities :

- Conduct in-depth custom research studies for the Organization

- Use Analytical and Statistical techniques to gain insights into Customer Behavior, Trends in Demand and Market Analysis

- Analyzing data, identifying issues, creating hypotheses and executing experiments

- Conceptualize and build dashboards and reports to display data backed insights from data generated by our products

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an analytical field - e.g. Marketing, Engineering, Management

- 1-2 Relevant experience in Analytics Domain

- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to automate reporting processes where possible

- Fundamentally strong in data analytics and statistics plus working knowledge of any Data Visualisation tools

- Experience solving problems using data and providing practical business insights

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency using statistical tools such as R, SQL, MS-Excel is a must
