Job Description: Xander Advisors India is currently recruiting for the Investment Analyst position. Candidates with experience of 1-4 years in Private Equity (PE) or Investment Banking roles are invited. The candidate should ideally be from Tier-1 Business Schools and should have completed his/her MBA or equivalent education. Excellent financial modeling skills and industry standard presentation delivery and communication abilities are expected. Prior exposure to investment &amp; acquisition processes and end-to-end transaction closure experience from a buy-side or sell-side would be an added advantage. Location: Mumbai / Delhi (the role typically involves intense business travel) Summary of required skills and experience: - MBA candidates having 1-4 years of work experience, professional certifications such as CFA would be an added advantage - Excellent in Corporate Finance, Valuation, Financial Reporting &amp; Analysis - Experience in financial modeling and the ability to produce well designed PowerPoint presentations - Strong knowledge of MS Excel including advanced functions; VBA is an added advantage - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive attitude and the ability to take ownership of tasks/ processes assigned - Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with senior members of the investment team Sample of Tasks associated with the role: a. Business research - Perform thorough research with regard to the strategy assigned and help recognize market dislocation, emerging trends, etc. with the objective of identifying new investment opportunities b. Identify and source investment opportunities basis the mandate of the investment strategy c. Investment opportunity evaluation - Prepare detailed financial models to evaluate opportunities - Prepare investment notes and management presentations to aid Investment Committee decision making d. Assist in Due-diligence and deal closure - Coordinate the due-diligence process and liaise with advisors/consultants - Support in transaction execution and definitive documentation e.
