School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) is the proud winner of SHRM's - Game Changer- Academic Institute of the Year (For contribution to the field of HR) award for 2013!

In August 2010, a research study of IIM- Ahmedabad named SOIL as a - Game Changer- in Higher Education and in November 2010, the case study on the model of SOIL was named as amongst the top 3 Innovations in India along with the innovations of Tata Chemicals and Indian Oil Corporation by an eminent Jury of AIMA, in association with Accenture.

SOIL has grown rapidly since then. Besides graduating over 450+ alumni from its five full time one year leadership programs i.e. Business leadership, Marketing Leadership and Human resource leadership, it has 40 alumni from its - Emerging Leader Booster Program- (for high performing mid/senior level executives) and 150 alumni from its joint program with MESA for global leaders.

SOIL has also rapidly grown its executive education and consulting practice with focus on leadership development while working on unique interventions including projects with the Planning Commission of India.

Position Summary :

Providing leadership to a function which communicates brand SOIL to the industry in order to build long term strategic partnerships with existing as well as new companies. The leader will take charge of professional development of students with a vision to transform them into inspired leaders meeting industries- current and emerging future talent needs. S/He will create the brand amongst potential (campus &lateral) recruiters and thought leaders in order to service the placement, internships and career development requirements.

This function deals with the final customers of SOIL and therefore it acts as a central function and organization performance hinges around this role.

Role will be a part of the senior leadership team at SOIL and provide strategic intelligence and inputs to shaping the growth of the organization which is in line with industry needs.

S/He will play a key role in collaborating with the academic body to ensure that our students are ready to hit the road running as soon as they graduate. Strengthening Career Management Services as a function which keeps students- interests as primary and matches that with the career opportunities available.

Key responsibilities :

- Demonstrate knowledge of SOIL's mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the ethics code

- Showcase adept industry knowledge: understanding the requirements of the industry and the technology which is impacting it

- Build win-win partnership with industries all over the country by :

- Identifying projects/ internship opportunities where students can demonstrate their talent and satisfy company needs

- Identifying what is required to become talent partners, hence building long term partnership with companies

- Identifying typical roles that the companies would offer and new competencies that they are looking for, in post graduate students

- Generate and build new key accounts and deliver various projects and initiatives

- Work closely with the academic committee and student body to ensure that student development initiative is in sync with our stakeholder requirement. This will ensure that students are provided with the best developmental inputs available to graduate to be SOIL's best brand ambassadors

- Communicate with students to understand their expectations and development needs in order to manage expectations, and create a plan. This might involve(and is not limited to) facilitating sessions, creating a communication plan,expectation setting,role clarity,campus placements, monitoring developmental progress, etc.

- Monitor competition not just to identify best opportunities for SOIL as an organization in the market but also to inspire and motivate students to be on top of their game

- Work with admissions and marketing team to create a communication plan for the target group of students for future batches and coordinate for various events organized by CMS

Key Skills :

- Updated with current trends/events in the industry and staying ahead in anticipating industry needs

- Ability to influence and persuade the decision makers

- Strong analytic and problem solving,negotiation skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills

- Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- An MBA from Institute of repute

- 7+ years relevant experience
