- Responsible for verification of bills received from Purchase and ensure the completeness and correctness of the bill (with necessary approvals and supporting documents) - Ensure payments for all vendor/ agency bills within defined timelines considering the credit period unless otherwise directed by the Center Director - Forward all cheques/ payment vouchers to the Senior Manager and then to Center Director for verification and instruction on release of payment - Assist the Senior Manager - Accounts in preparing the monthly MIS presentation by collating data, coordinating with functions for clarification, etc., and conduct various income and expense analysis - Prepare a report of all the findings/ non-compliance observed during various audits and track compliance - Responsible for filing of the TDS deduction within defined timelines post approval - Responsible for maintaining proper documentation/ filing for all operations (TDS calculation, Service Tax filings, audit replies from various departments, etc.) and provide updates/ reports as and when requested by the Center Senior Management - Ensuring that MIS of all bills paid (name of party, bill no., amount, etc.) on a daily basis to all Heads of Department including Purchase Team and Finance & Accounts team are correctly filled - Verifying that the TDS deducted from the vendor invoices are in line with the relevant section as per the Income Tax Act,196 - Verifying the working for the CENVAT (Central-value added tax) to be deducted from the overall Service Tax liability - Ensuring that MIS of all bills paid (name of party, bill no., amount, etc.) on a daily basis to all Heads of Department including Purchase Team and Finance & Accounts team are correctly filled
