Primary Responsibilities:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

- Lead and managing a team of SEO experts helping to define and prioritize the team's focus to deliver growth through organic search, Google news, News showcase and Google Discovery.

- Identifying opportunities in team resources, tooling, and skills. Driving new market expansion internationally.

- Developing and executing a comprehensive SEO strategy with both technical and non-technical opportunities to grow organic traffic.

- Leveraging analytics and data to prioritize SEO projects within the overall product roadmap - eliminating duplication and low-value traffic in order to improve the overall state of the website.

- Work very closely with editorial heads in coming up with best practices for well optimized content and training them regularly to follow the same.

- Must possess excellent leadership skills and would be responsible for proper execution of functions by junior SEO management.

In addition to this, the SEO lead also interacts with the Director digital and key stakeholders in the creation of function-wide SEO strategies and approaches. He/she also presents research findings and proposals in the form of reports to the top management and is responsible to work collaboratively with product and tech functions to take things live and track performance.

Qualification & Experience

- Minimum qualification is post graduate in marketing or Information technology or any related field.

- Has a minimum of 8 years of SEO strategy & planning and execution.

- Has at least 2 to 3 years of experience in managing a team of SEO executives and leading the entire SEO function.

- You are a highly goal-oriented individual and open to work in challenging situations.

- You are open minded, curious and a strong problem solver.

- Strong Knowledge of Google Analytics, MS Office, Coremetrics, Moz, Majestic, Webmaster, Screaming Frog. Similarweb etc.

- Has a very good understanding of CMSs like - CUE, Escenic or similar tools.
