Location: Kolkata
Experience: 6-8 years in Sales from reputable FMCG Companies.
Qualification: MBA is mandatory. Previous experience in team management is required.
Job Purpose:
- Key member of the Customer Development team led by the Branch Manager.
- Ensure strict adherence to commercial processes and hygiene within the branch area.
- Develop a functionally capable and motivated team.
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships at the branch level.
Functional Linkages:
- Internal: Branch Manager, Customer Marketing Manager, Customer Finance Manager, Area Managers, Regional Sales Managers, HR, Customer & Consumer Marketing groups (HO).
- External: Stockists, Vendors/3P Agencies, Stockist Salesman, PSR, Merchandisers.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Sales Targets:
- Achieve category-level sales value, volume, and distribution objectives as outlined.
- Ensure compliance with commercial hygiene and forecast accuracy.
2. Coaching and Development:
- Develop Area Managers and CDOs/PSRs to enhance competencies and effectiveness in Customer Management, Meeting Effectiveness, and Field Implementation.
3. Trade Relationship:
- Manage stockist and trade relationships by proactively anticipating and resolving issues to minimize attrition.
4. Distribution System/Customer Network:
- Strengthen GTM/distribution effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure the health of the distribution system.
5. State Strategy: As described above.
6. Create and Support a Shopper-focused Mindset:
- Develop and implement programs to enhance shopper interaction with our brands.
7. Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Interface effectively with functions like Customer Service, Finance, Consumer Marketing, to facilitate smooth issue resolution and information flow.
Experience:
- Essential: Field experience in diverse rural and urban locations, familiarity with market requirements, and ground-level field force needs. FMCG sector experience is required.
- Desirable: Strong knowledge and work experience in FMCG sales and brand management. Preferably, previous roles in FMCG companies in Sales and Marketing.
Years of Experience Required: Minimum 6-8 years.
