Job Description:

- Director evaluates the issues related to the development of the life cycle of a product and provides an efficient solution. Director is responsible for monitoring the validation of software analysis, programming, testing and debugging, identifying production and non-production application issues, transforming requirements into stipulations. Senior Manager/ Director is also responsible for enhancement of all custom applications and solutions, built across custom and standard platforms.


- Understand the values and vision of the organization and align the activities accordingly

- Protect the Intellectual Property

- Adhere to all the policies and procedures

- Fulfill a variety of operational tasks and liaise with other line functions to collect or provide relevant data

- Design, implement and maintain java application phases

- Drive best practice, quality and consistency within design and development phases

- Identify production and non-production application issues

- Utilize and contribute to Creditex strategic codebase to design projects

- Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of java developed projects

- Provide technical support and consultation for java application and infrastructure questions

- Provide direct support to the management as requested

- Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed

- Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes

- Recommend changes to improve established java application processes

- Develop technical designs for application development

- Develop application code for java programs

- Develop and execute unit test plans

- Support formal testing and resolve test defects

- Development, Maintenance and Support issues during the project lifecycle - pre and post go-live

- Understanding the complex business functional specifications through the full software development lifecycle

- Evaluate, apply & lead adoption of new technologies and tools

- Provide technical assistance to other teams like Quality Assurance and business analysis

- Fixing the bugs as and when reported within the agreed time frames and Quality standards

- Work closely with management in various processes / projects to ensure communication and smooth implementation

- Monitor, coach and develop the team by sharing knowledge and providing training as necessary

- Perform continuous monitoring of program activities to identify areas of opportunity for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency

- Should have experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, handling complex relationships, reporting to management and/or steering committees

- Demonstrate strong experience in change initiatives, with a track record of accomplishment in large, complex projects

Essential Skills:


- Lead major, complex and high-profile learning and development initiatives

- Must be proficient in Customer Relationship Management

- Excellent coding skills are essential especially in JAVA

- Proficiency in Core java, JSP, Servlets, ORM, JavaScript, DHTMLX , GWT and Tomcat

- Must have expertise in Java based web services, Relational Databases, SQL, J2EE framework, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, XML, X query, XSL, Test-Driven Development

- Must be experienced in Java Messaging System API, MVC, JDBC, and RESTful

- Expertise in Java GUI frameworks such as Swing, SWT and AWT depending on project requirements is essential

- Must have expert knowledge of build tools such as Ant, Maven and Gradle

- Expertise with Reporting Tools and Portals, Vignette Portal, Core Java, EJB, iBatis, Tomcat, Springs, Apache Axis and VB Script

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

- Must be dynamic, flexible and possess perseverance skills

- Must have good knowledge of Debugging of Issues

- Exhibit reactiveness and constructiveness at work such as suggesting innovative and pragmatic solutions

- Utilize secondary research sources and techniques


- Should have understanding of business objectives and organization structure

- The candidate must have strong work ethics and trustworthiness

- The candidate should possess attention to detail and also maintain confidentiality and integrity

- Must be highly collaborative and be a team player with commitment to excellence

- Ability to work under pressure to achieve the multiple daily deadlines for client deliverables with a mature approach
