The Role : We are seeking a dedicated and insightful Business Analyst to join our dynamic news team, focusing on covering the most promising unicorns and tech startups in India. This role is not just about analyzing numbers; it's about storytelling, breaking down complex business models, and offering a fresh perspective on tech-driven transformations. Working closely with the founders, you'll help craft the narrative of how technology businesses evolve, influence, and intersect with India's digital economy.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform in-depth analysis of business models, market trends, and financial data related to India's largest high-growth new economy companies.

- Write compelling, insightful content that breaks down complex concepts into understandable, engaging stories. Collaborate with the editorial team to identify story angles and themes that resonate with our audience.

- Stay abreast of the latest developments in these companies, by using primary research through building a network of contacts in the startup ecosystem, which includes founders, employees and investors.

- Work directly with the founders to shape the analytical direction and content strategy of The Arc.

Qualifications :

- Basic understanding of the startup ecosystem and innate curiosity to learn more about new economy companies, business models and entrepreneurship.

- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging content.

- Proficiency in understanding financial statements, data analysis and financial modelling is a plus.

- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to rapidly changing environments.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to network with industry professionals and insiders.
