Job Title: Lead-Category and Merchandising
Job Description
1. Product sourcing and Vendor management for a range of exciting product categories which includes:
a. Identify and close Vendors partnerships including commercial terms for related product categories. Be responsible for product gross margin.
b. Select product mix (quantities, styles, SKU- s, etc.) and raise purchase orders across vendors
c. Liaison with logistics partner to ensure international products are custom cleared efficiently along with the necessary documents.
d. Train internal teams including customer service team, sales team, content and product team, etc about the categories and relevant products details.
e. Plan inventory cycles and build process for repeat orders.
f. Work closely with marketing team to promote products to achieve sales targets
g. Great vendor account management
2. Manage product ordering cycles to create buying efficiencies along with the optimising inventory management.
3. Prepare and analyse monthly report and formulate strategies for all product categories and Vendors for sales and profitability.
4. Build a Category and Merchandising team to achieve the company's objectives in line with growth.
Candidate skill sets
1. Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Email.
2. Good communication skills in English and Hindi
3. Customs clearance experience would be an added advantage
4. Prior work experience in merchandising or retail or imports or e-commerce would be an added advantage.
Ideal age Profile: 24 to 35 years
Office Location: Chembur, Mumbai
Salary: At par with Industry leaders with additional financial and non-financial incentives. This role may entail international travel for trade shows and supplier meetings.
