Test Manager - Protocol Testing

An excellent opportunity with a leading MNC

General Requirement:

The Candidate

- Have about 15+ years of experience.

- Should be able to manage a team of engineers responsible for Development test and qualifying the feature during product development.

- Should have prior testing experience in Networking areas of products.

- Should be able to understand product architecture and define test strategy for various test phases like Development test, system test, regression, interoperability test and test automation.

- Would participate in understanding customer requirements and come up with test strategy.

- Would ensure that team members would convert the requirements and use cases into test cases.

- Should coordinate test teams during the test phase, produce quality metrics and defect reports.

- Also suggests process improvements.

Domain specific skills:

- Excellent understanding of Ethernet technologies and TCP/IP protocol.

- Should have a strong understanding of layer2/layer3 network architectures (Virtualized data center and Cloud computing)

- Experience in testing protocols like 802.1Q, 802.1p, STP, RSTP, MSTP, QinQ, LACP, RSPAN, GVRP

- Experience in platforms supporting in Non-stop-forwarding/Hit-less protocol support

- Experience in testing protocols like OSPFv2, OSPFv3, BGP, ISIS and BFD , IPV4, IPV6

- Experience in platforms supporting in Non-stop-forwarding/Hit-less protocol support

- Experience in testing multicast protocols like IGMP/IGMP Snooping, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, MLD, MSDP

- Experience in testing of implementations like PIM-Sparse-Dense Mode, PIM-Snooping, PIM-Bidirectional

- Hands-on with Routing and Switching protocols.

- Experience in using third party test equipment like IXIA.

- Hands on experience on Cisco and Juniper switches and routers.

- Hands on experience in scripting languages/tools such as TCL, Expect, Perl.
