Test Manager - Big 4

We are having a great opportunity with Big 4 Consulting firms - Gurgaon Location regarding Test Manager.

Exp: 8-12 years

Qualifications:

Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience.

In this context, the key activities of the Test Manager fall under two categories: People Development and driving the business. These responsibilities are (typical and non exhaustive)

1) Conduct test activities in projects (hands-on as a tester including: writing test plans and test cases, performing functional tests, organizing performance, integration and other technical tests, coordinating work with offshore team in India for manual non-regression testing)

2) Collaborate with Program Managers to define the test strategy, scope and timeline for the project, to advise on require test activities to deliver on appropriate quality requirements

3) Keep track of test capacity utilization and anticipate development project needs

4) Manage and ensure the quality of deliverables from the team members

5) Coach and guide members of test team, provide examples, help them deliver on their project needs, etc.

6) Organize the capitalization of best practices and methods for improving efficiency and productivity of project test activities

7) Evaluate testing team members’ performance and take appropriate people development measures

8) Prepare, syndicate and execute a plan to improve current test operations and to adapt them based on evolution of development projects portfolio.

Desired Skill Set

1) At least 8-10 years of experience in the IT application testing field (experience in WEB application testing is a plus), and accustomed to acting as the interface of business and technology in an agile, fast changing environment, ideally from top IT companies

2) Experience with corporate web-commerce-level IT systems testing (multi-tier & service oriented architectures),

3) Experience with testing HTML, javascript, Silverlight, WCF, SQL Server, .NET components,

4) Experience in managing and coordinating test operations and/or test teams, and managing and coordinating off shore operations

5) Track record of successful projects,

6) Outstanding communication skills in English (other languages is a plus),

7) Leadership and persuasion skills,

8) Be able to cope with pressure and demonstrate a reasonable level of flexibility/adaptability.

9) Has experience of handling a team of 10 – 15 members
