TESCO - Manager - Internal Audit - CA

Tesco is hiring Manager - Internal Audit at their HSC Office in Bangalore.

Working for our Global audit team, you will be responsible for the end to end delivery of a number of audits that contribute to our global audit programme. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify the key risks, assess how we are managing these risks and identify solutions that will genuinely improve the business. The success of all auditors is measured by their ability to deliver independent assurance and insight to a consistently high standard and to be a catalyst for change in the business.

Job Responsibilities:

- Having full or part accountability for 5 to 6 financial and/or operational audit each from planning to reporting and follow up on agreed actions

- Working with the business and having regular communication with stakeholders to ensure that audit issues are addressed

- Performing occasional ad hoc - in-flight- reviews of ongoing change initiative projects, helping to build a robust control framework

- Potential for international travel dependent on business need

- Being actively involved in our change agenda by continually looking for ways to improve the audit function and contribute to/ help to deliver sustainable improvements to the department

- Driving your own training and keeping ahead of trends to enable your work to add value to the business

- Additional responsibilities may include: running the annual plan cycle, the annual risk register process, Audit Committee papers and audit plan KPI reporting.

Candidate Requirement:

- Strong academic record

- CA qualified Accountant or IIA qualified Auditor, ideally with 2 years post qualification experience

- Prior experience of working in Retail or Big 4 is preferred, but not essential

- High level of business understanding and the ability to empathise with stakeholders and identify pragmatic solutions which address risks identified

- Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to demonstrate credibility in dealings with stakeholders at all levels

- Strong independent mind-set and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment;

- Candidates must be highly motivated and proactive, keen to take full ownership of their area of responsibility and focus on delivering results.

- The individual will also need excellent time and project management skills, demonstrating high levels of accuracy, thoroughness and reliability to deliver multiple audits.
