Terra Food - Cost Controller - Food & Beverages Segment

Terra Food Co (TFC) is looking for a Cost Control Expert. The position champions strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brands and target customer. The position provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment.

What you will do?

- As a Food and Beverage cost controller, you will be primarily responsible for calculating costs of food items and also responsible for the short and long-term planning of the pricing aspects.

- Additionally responsible to record information and produce control reports periodically to help maintain a suitable inventory.

- Responsible to change the price of menu items based on the costing information and actively take part in engineering the menu in terms of the pricing.

- Control the wastage, pilferage and efficiency at the outlet.

- Prepare variance analysis.

- Check and verify discounts on the POS systems.

- Check the cost of sales in all cloud kitchens and ensure that the costs are within budget.

- Check the menu pricing on the POS systems and ensure the correct prices are loaded.

- Responsible for surprise spot checks at all areas of outlets.

- Spot check on the receiving department to ensure that the scales are correct and goods are checked for quality.

- Check and ensure all menu items have a recipe.

- Work closely with the culinary innovation department and help them with costing of new products.

- Review and suggest costing for a special menu for B2B meals and events.

Requirements :

- Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost specialist or similar role

- Experience in data, operational and financial analysis

- Knowledge of accounting processes and software

- Strong analytical skills

- A business acumen

- Great attention to detail

- Good communication aptitude

- Degree in costing, finance, accounting will be preferred
