- Establish the M&E approach for the Agriculture value chain and Development projects, including:
- Develop and execute a work plan for data capture and reporting against project performance indicators and emergent project information needs.
- Identify and implement the appropriate information-gathering approach to inform knowledge gaps that are relevant for project decision-making.
- Design Research forms, surveys, and indices for the data management system.
- Develop and manage regular data quality assessments, data cleaning and data analysis
- Conduct field visits at rural locations to understand the context and identify new areas of investigation to add rigor to sampling and thereby enhance Data analysis
- Develop advanced analytical, quantitative and qualitative reports
- Provide technical assistance and training to M&E and program staff on their role in performing data collection, analysis, review, and use.
- Review, analyze, and present findings from monitoring reports and other collected data to identify insights and suggest approaches on studies and project implementation strategy
- Create significant monthly and quarterly insights and Annual Impact reports for all projects
Requirements
- Candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in Research Design and Impact
- Evaluation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects
- Should be proficient in using quantitative techniques in field surveys and qualitative methods/PRAs in impact evaluation
- Should possess demonstrated knowledge on standard monitoring and evaluation tools such as logical framework, results framework analysis, etc.
- Candidate should be capable of using digital technology in implementing M&E functions.
- Should have excellent analytical skills and ability to undertake field assessment and synthesize data using statistical packages, such as SPSS and STATA.
- Candidate should have excellent communication skills (oral as well as written) and should be proficient in MS office, relevant database management and analysis software
- Should be able to engage with donors on a high level discussion on M&E aspects including, evaluation designs, sampling approaches, outcomes of intervention and policy implications
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
- The candidate should be flexible to travel extensively to project locations.
Qualifications:
- Master's or equivalent degree with excellent academic records and relevant development sector or consulting experience work in monitoring and evaluation and impact assessment.
