Position : Technology Leader / Architect - Payments & Wallet  Location : Mumbai  Experience : 10-15 years  Client : Leading Retailer of India & a pioneer in the Indian retail sector  Reports to : Head of Marketing, Loyalty and Customer Service  Role Summary:  Our client is looking for an experience, analytical and enthusiastic Lead Architect for our Payments & Wallet solutions. The Lead Architect will be responsible for the conceptualization, implementation support and ongoing optimization of best-in-class payments and wallet architecture needed to achieve our business vision and objectives. The Solution Architect will own the solution design, including technology landscape, Integration and infrastructure design to support across multiple Retail & Digital Commerce businesses and ensure seamless & scalable business processes through the technology design.  Key Responsibilities  The primary job duties and responsibilities will include:  - Develop the architectural model for payments and wallet as an enabler platform and consumer front end for various business units and loyalty programs of all the different business units in the Group.  - Development of standardized interfaces for the various dependent business applications and life cycle management of partner services.  - Evaluation of various options of white label, package products or in-house development.   - Further development and scaling of consumer front end mobile applications under consideration of new devices and technologies e.g. NFC, across mobile operating systems, services and partners.  - Consulting and support for various business units and programs during testing, pilots and rollouts.  - Modeling of the necessary business processes to develop the strategic payments and wallet solutions.  - Definition of the architecture and key components in collaboration with service and development partners for payments and wallet.  - Joint development of a time / cost optimized solution, in coordination with business product management team and user experience experts.  - Development of a future proof architecture road map for the integration of payment systems, wallet, POS, Digital platform, Loyalty and voucher business applications.  - Defining application, data security and infrastructure specification for in-house applications and partner.  - To bring in thought leadership the payments and wallet design and systems landscape.  - Participate and drive the process of functional solution design to deliver enabling Technology Solution Architecture  - Lead the organization in optimizing current technology and use knowledge of IT solutions to drive organizational change and support business process design  - Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development and support.  Skills and Experience  Educational Qualifications  The candidate is required to have:  - A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent  - Minimum of 10-12 years of work experience in the planning or implementation of architecture projects, with at least 5 years as a Senior Architect responsible for the digital payments and / or wallet area.  - Observe new technologies in the IT and payments areas and have an interest in the latest trends and projects and companies behind them.  - Architected at least one to two end to end payment and Wallet solution.  - An analytic, structured method of working and the capability to abstract and structure complex relationships quickly, while simultaneously understanding the primary implementation details.  - The ability to translate business requirements into logical IT and software architecture and implement scalable, highly flexible solutions that are developed with a clear focus on the customer.  - Experience in the development of scalable, mobile enabler platforms, as well as in the standardized integration of partner services.  - You have experience in the development of IT solutions that are both technology and device-neutral and cross-channel (online, mobile, POS)  - Preferably have experience in the definition of business architectures and processes for Retail industry.  - The ability to prepare and choose options for assessed decisions quickly and communicate these decisions to different management levels, internally and externally, as appropriate for the respective audiences.  - Ideally, experience in agile (scrum) methods and their interaction with conventional project management methods.  - Experience in leading interdisciplinary, international project teams and outstanding communication skills  Skills  The candidate is expected to possess the following skills:  - Understands PCI DSS standards - (Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standard)  - Understands the concepts of credit card transactions like, authorizations, settlement, charge backs, 3DS etc.  - Understands the concepts of fraud checking in ecommerce transactions  - Ability to develop solution architecture designs - Experience of developing Services Orientated Architectures (SOA) and/or micro-service based architectures  - Working knowledge of infrastructure including servers, storage, firewalls, load balancers, routers, etc.  - A minimum of four years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, team lead, architect, or other hands on leadership role ideally for a major consultancy or system integrator.  -
