Can you run large cross-team projects- Are you equally comfortable digging in to business requirements as drilling into architecture with development teams- Do you want to take the best e-commerce platform in the world to the next level- The BDT team is recruiting for a Technical Program Manager to help deliver the next generation of Amazon.com's business analysis solution.

This TPM role's scope includes defining strategy and requirements, and leading cross functional development teams from design through delivery. You will be accountable for driving the entire product lifecycle, from platform product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

- 7 to 15+ years of relevant work experience in Enterprise Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence and/or technical product management in a software applications environment.

- Qualified candidates should have experience in defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets; as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization.

- A degree in software-product management, computer science, or equivalent experience is required.

- Prior experience as a Software Development Engineer or Technical Product/Program Management with a record of successful delivery of large/complex software systems.

- Solid foundation in service-oriented technologies to be able to understand service interdependencies and drive towards technical solutions for multi-tiered systems.

- Experience in managing the complete software development lifecycle for software applications in large-scale systems.

- Experience driving cross functional initiatives. Track record of software projects delivery.

- Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, leadership skills essential to successful program/project management.

- Good written, verbal communication skills.

- Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices & identify what truly matters.

- Ability to work independently and excellent problem solving skills is a must.
