Role and Responsibilities: - Design and develop new components of the big data platform - Own the platform development process from inception to production deployment, including project scheduling, design, implementation and coordination with other team members - Work closely with Product Management and Data Scientist teams to define and refine the big data platform, while achieving company product and business objectives - Collaborate with other technology teams and architects to define and develop cross-function technology stack interactions - Research and experiment with emerging technologies and tools related to big data - Contribute to the big data open-source ecosystem - Experience in scaling applications on big data platforms - Responsible for ownership of the development of an entire module Skills Required: - Background of object-oriented software development methodologies and practices - Expertise in Java Development - Experience on at least 2 Big Data projects Or Last 2 years on Big Data Projects - Exposure to Web Application Development Our Ideal Candidate : - Should have a keen interest and passion for technology - Must have strong problem solving, analytic, decision-making and excellent communication (written &amp; verbal) skills - Ability to monitor and guide team members effectively - Ability to handle ambiguity and make decisions through balanced trade-off assessments around speed, cost, business criticality - Should be self-driven and motivated and desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven agile environment with varied responsibilities
