Technical Lead

Location - Gurgaon

Role:

- Provide leadership and direction to the Technology team and to drive innovation and deliver first-rate products.

- Effectively manage the SDLC practice for website development to create a better experience for our customers.

- Build an in-house team for developing scalable middleware within the distributed application architecture.

- Work closely with teams from Sourcing, Marketing, Logistics, and other groups to develop technical solutions.

- Build market-leading core capabilities, drive repeatable innovation process, and deliver quality solutions on-time and on-budget.

- Strong understanding of performance, availability, interoperability, security aspects of enterprise products

- Create and nourish an environment that drives continuous improvement and optimizes best practices.

- Foster a culture of excellence based on merit and productivity.

- Has experience in leading a team of developers / coordinating with co-developers / team leads / project heads.

- Agile response to bug fixing, as well as incremental enhancements

- Effectively communicate strategies, plans, and status to senior management and others with excellent presentation and written communication skills

Knowledge and Skills:

- Demonstrated history of successfully leading technology for web 2.0 organizations

- Experience building websites from scratch and deploying them with scalable and reliable architecture.

- Hands on with coding & passionate about creating elegant solutions by themselves, if need be.

- Strong motivator and team builder.

- High degree of customer orientation.

Qualification and Experience:

- B.E/B.Tech

- Advanced degree(s) in Software Development, Information Technology, analytics or related fields from an
accredited school is a plus.

- Requires 9+ years of experience in Technology, with 3+ years managing leading significant teams.

- Knowledge of current Website development platforms and Production Operations.

- Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, YII Framework, Ajax, Java Script, node.js, Jquery, Magento Ecommerce and other relevant Web 2.0 and Open Source tools.
