Technical Head - Research & Development - Construction Chemicals

Job description

Purpose :

- The role of Technical Head is essential to carry out the management of plant QA/QC, local R&D and local product technical management.

- The candidates prime focus would be development and betterment of QC process for all the factories, more focused work in R&D and support to the Head of Product Segment management to develop the necessary products required for the marketplace.

- The role will ensure the company offers its customers access to the best technical solutions and advice, developing their trust, creating increased awareness, and consequently improving business with the company.

- The role requires to support the Sales Team by contributing actively to business growth initiatives, improving process efficiency, and by example, demonstrating good behaviors and ethics to the rest of the team.

Responsibilities:

Project Specialist Support:

- Support the Major Project Manager in delivering economical technical solutions in India and South Asia.

- Support the Major Projects Team in India Sales Area with their tender/quotations for major infra projects.

- Join the Major Projects Team for presentations and demonstrations on companys solutions.

- Arrange testing and trials with contractors so that they function as expected.

- Co-ordinate and prioritise with the Global Manager on all lab work/tests to be undertaken to meet specifications of projects.

- Be able to Support the Technical Team a sprayed concrete, backfill grout, precast and ready-mix designs to meet project specifications.

- Support projects by helping Contractors with site issues and process improvements and support them with their product approvals where required.

- Support & train our Distributors & applicators to demonstrate and specify our products in the projects.

- Be actively involved in the preparation and managing of trialing new solutions and offering improvement ideas with the global R&D team.

- Contribute to and occasionally lead training sessions for worldwide employees.

- Run seminars on solutions with Indian customers (Designers and Contractors).

- Write technical papers and attend international conferences.

Quality Control and Lab Management:

- Liaise with Indian team in ensuring operations comply with the requirements of ISO45001, ISO9001 and ISO14001

- Be responsible for the efficient running and resourcing of the company India laboratories

- Manage and have a technical overview of QC for all Indian production facilities, support QC staff in their daily tasks where required and encourage their development

- Preparation of product batch sheets from MTD document

- Management of BIS and ISO certification
