Provides support for a complex SharePoint environment servicing a Large server Farm organization which consists of more than 5 servers, 5,000+ Users, and several thousands Web applications integrated with several LOB applications. Working as a member of a support team, this position will have visible and direct interaction with local users, and also provide phone support to remote users at varying levels within the organization. A technically knowledgeable, customer service oriented person with an excellent work ethic is essential.
Essential Job Duties
- Provides support to end-users and troubleshoot all SharePoint issues.
- Support technical escalations and lead to the resolution.
- Support and maintenance of issues on Shared service Provider for the future analysis.
- Upgrade custom component viz. features,solutions,etc
- Provision User administration and Site Administration
- Support LOB application integration with SharePoint
- All technical documentation
- Participate in planning and testing of new system software and development of system roll-out/implementation strategies
- Perform H/W & performance monitoring and implement recommendations
- Effective delivery of Sharepoint value proposition to prospects via technical presentations, product demonstrations in written or verbal communications
- Manage service delivery, including all technical tasks such as requirements gathering, Sharepoint infrastructure design, pre-installation preparation, product installation and configuration
- Design Sharepoint solutions as per Business Need with MS best practice
- Recommends standards and solutions for all hardware and software upgrades for Sharepoint deployments, reviews submitted bids for compliance with requirements and standard
- Works closely with other leaders to develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis for IT spending and initiatives
- Research potential Collaboration technology trends, solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities and requirements
Technical Requirements
- Large server Farm SharePoint deployment - Minimum 10-12 yr
- SharePoint services and SSP Configuration - Minimum 5-6yr
- Upgrade and Maintenance of SharePoint Servers - Minimum 5-6yr
- Integration with LOB application(with Dev Team support) – Minimum 5-6 yr
- Backup and Restore Strategy Planning and monitoring under Operations - 4-5 Yr
- working knowledge on SharePoint Designer,Infopath - Minimum 5-6 yr
- Health Monitoring and its report generation - Minimum 5-6 yr
- Installation/Upgrading of components viz. features,webparts,solutions,etc-5-6yr
- Proficiency in IIS 6.0 onwards
- Migrationfrom 2003 - MOSS 2007 - Minimum 3-4 yr
- SharePoint Design level understanding on Windows server,AD,Networks,security,SQL Server-5-6yr
- SharePoint 2003 and 2007 Test, Development and QA environment -5-6yr

- Relevant : Minimum of 6 yrs in SharePoint Administration / Support / deployment/ Architect
