Job Description: Business Analyst
Job Function: Candidate should have strong communication skills. Understanding Business and systems is mandatory. Experience working with Data & Analytics products and on Transformation initiatives is preferred.
Primary Skills:
- Candidate should be comfortable in designing and conceiving of solutions that align to high level business objectives and goals
- Candidate should be able to align solutions with any required platform principles (including best practice handling of Data & Analytics)
- Candidate should be familiar with designing solutions within a Service-oriented Architecture, deferring certain capabilities to centralised services / components
- Candidate should be able to demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and autonomy
- Candidate should have strong communication and thought process to manage large scale projects and domestic/international stakeholders
- Candidate should be highly active in conducting the brainstorming sessions and bring complete clarity in requirements (Normal Flows, Alternate Flows, Exception Flows)
- Candidate should have strong documentation skills and expert in creating BRD, SRS and User stories
- Candidate must have strong Requirement Planning, Elicitation and Requirement analysis skills
- Candidate should be comfortable with Requirement Management Process
- Candidate should be good at creating activity diagrams, flow charts
- Candidate should be good in understanding Data modelling and Data Normalization techniques
- Candidate should have good understanding of Data Analytics and Data Platforms
- Candidate should have basic understanding of RDBMS database concepts
- Candidate should be good in creating wireframes, and designing skills along with hands on experience on wire framing tools like Balsamiq would be an added advantage
Project related skills:
- Candidate should have good understanding of Agile project management framework and write requirements as per project management methodology
- Strong communication skill and ability to manage project stakeholders
- Strong thought process to brainstorm strategic initiatives
- Leadership abilities, problem solving and strong co-ordination is must have
- Candidate should be able to grasp the business immediately and collaborate with stakeholders to identify solution fitment
Domain Understanding:
- Experience working on greenfield / new build solutions is desirable
- Experience in working alongside a Product Management group to deliver solutions
- Familiarity with both Data Management and Data & Analytics best practices is required
Other Skills:-
- Candidate should be very strong in both verbal and written communication, particularly with International (UK/US) English-speaking stakeholders
- Candidate should be strong in aptitude, logical reasoning, and critical thinking
- Candidate with strong knowledge of Azure DevOps toolsets (or similar tools), MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel will be an added advantage
