TEAM MEMBER - PORTFOLIO MONITORING GRP & EWS

Reporting To-TEAM LEADER - PORTFOLIO MONITORING GRP & EWS

1. JOB PURPOSE

To develop, maintain and enhance an effective portfolio management, analytics, monitoring and reporting platform capturing qualitative and quantitative details of all portfolio assets, providing management with relevant information and insights and acting as enabler in taking key strategic decisions regarding profitability and strategy going forward.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

- Envisage and develop systems which efficiently represent the portfolio information in a form directly usable by the management for decision making

- Evaluate the feasibility of process automation with business and IT teams for important business activities, including monitoring and tracking activities, being carried out by various groups to ensure consistency and increased traceability

- Analyse the impact of changes/enhancements on the existing systems and mitigate any adverse impact to ensure a smooth transition

- Prepare business requirements, design documents and monitor implementation at the project management level with IT/development team for development of different dashboards and/or process systems

- Review periodically the need to change/ update systems to capture changes in regulatory policies and/or organizational strategic motives

- Plan the development and execution schedule to adhere to timelines as per service level agreements

- Act as functional expert and lead business process walk-through to IT Team and systems- demonstrations to business teams.

- Prioritize the projects efficiently in accordance with contribution to organization's objectives and communicate the same effectively to the IT team to deliver in order of criticality

- Control the process of getting the dashboards in sync with the data from the client accounting team and keep a regular check for the accuracy of the same

- Understand the need and relevance of the analysis required and identify various data points required to deliver the intended objective.

- Evaluate the process from data validation, transformation to eventual analysis and keep it flexible to incorporate any changes, as may be required, later on

- Plan the requirements for management exercises like portfolio level RONW calculation, Prepayment Analysis, PD/LGD, Budgeting, Financial planning & analysis and provide key information inputs for a smoother and quicker process

- Identify and report any anomalies observed to highlight any possible risks to key stakeholders for appropriate remedial actions.

- Tracking, Monitoring and Reporting of predetermined information to stakeholders to provide accessibility and utility to users

- Control and improve MIS reports being circulated to various stakeholders to apprise them of latest trends in portfolio

- Identify and implement processes to identify early warning signals of stress so that corrective measures can be taken at initial stages.

- Set up various systems and processes to check for adequacy for DSRA and Insurance and raise exceptions where the levels are inadequate for necessary actions to be taken

- Monitor exposure limits for individual borrowers and groups to ensure they are always within RBI defined limits

- Enforce stringent checks to ensure all data going in and out of portfolio management system is updated and accurate

- Analyze adherence of accounts to ESCROW and TRA mechanism and escalate any issue and discrepancies observed

- Review the sector presentations made from perspective of TRA behaviour to region heads and MC

- Implement process to prepare and verify data for various stakeholder meetings like RMC, Rating presentations etc. and balance sheet items like sacrifice provisions, CRAR etc.

Functional Skills

- Good understanding of Financial Concepts (Profit & Loss, Balance sheets, Cash Flows) and good functional understanding of banking sector

- Prior experience as a business analyst is a plus

- Behavioral profile - Communication / Interpersonal skills, team management skills
