Team Member - New Product Development - Fibre Science/Textiles

Team Member - NPD

- Keeping track of the environment for emerging technologies relevant to Coated Fabrics and synthetic yarns

- Scanning the competitor activities for new developments / product launches

- Understand the Product/Processes through literature/patent survey and identify suitable routes for development

- Check for any infringements with the existing patents

- Understand and collect information on the competitor products

- Conduct product evaluation trials in pilot plants

- Conduct plant evaluation trials in TTB plants

- Identification and development of new testing equipment in area of synthetic yarns for enhancing the testing capability of the laboratories.

- Upgradation of pilot plants.

- Recommend any necessary upgradation in the TTB plants for the production/evaluation of the scaled-up new product

- Conceptualization of the Project for development of New Products and processes

- Preparation of project charter and capex proposals, if required

- Carry out literature/patent survey to understand the product/ processes.

- Derive product specification by literature survey, competitor sample analysis and end use requirements.

- Coordinate with External Consultants/Research Institutes to outsource specific expertise required for the projects

- Coordinate with the Team for successful completion of the task

- Prepare Design of Experiments for the experiments

- Supervise experiments in Labs/Pilots as required by the project

- Track the financials related to the project

- Submit documents and project reports for completed projects

Nature of experience : Research experience in area of Fibre Science/Textiles and preferably brief operational experience in melt spinning of synthetic fibres
