Job Purpose :

The Lead - Internal Audit is responsible for the implementation of internal audit of operational and financial areas of Company. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting the Internal Audit function to achieve department objectives and in improving internal policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities :

- Lead the Internal Audit team which include planning for future manpower needs and competencies, recruit and train staff, create and build a good working environment, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, identifying and managing risks etc.

- Clearly understand the business processes and procedures being audited; provide input on the effectiveness of current policies and procedures.

- Prepare short-, medium- and long-term audit plans based on comprehensive business risk / controls assessment.

- Ensure implementation of audit recommendation through drawing up "Action Plan Tracker".

- Conduct audit as per approved plan while providing quality assurance and comprehensiveness of Audit Reports.

- Conduct critical analysis of data and documents to assess the internal control and financial risks.

- Report internal control weaknesses, statutory non-compliances and other major observations.

- Provide inputs to plug revenue leakages, cost improvement and revenue enhancement.

- Work with management and discuss audit objectives, identify solutions for recurring or thematic audit issues and communicate key metrics relating to the audit portfolio.

- Liaise with Finance, Procurement, Production, Marketing and Human Resources teams for relevant audits.

- Coordinate with statutory auditors for smooth transitions.

- Regularly interact with auditees for clarification of audit queries and getting responses for audit observations.

- Audit Manual & Macro for IDEA Audit manual preparation with team & Create macros in IDEA to generate audit exceptions.

- Work on data extraction from SAP.

- Travel 5 days in a month for official assignments.

- Prepare Audit Committee Presentation and final reports.

- Ensure compliance with the Company policies and procedures.

- Keep abreast with current developments that may affect audit and the latest audit techniques, methods, tools, and procedures.
