JD - Credit Control /Account Receivable

Qualification - B.com/MBA/ Semi-qualified CA

Designation - Assistant Manager

Pre- requisites : - Previous Experience of Credit Control (Account Receivables control) for at least 4 years with Practical Exposure

(If Candidate is having good relevant experience, then based on current salary, budget can be increased a bit as per Industry Standards and Interview Assessment)

Location - Andheri East, Mumbai

Main responsibilities:

- Download bank statements to identify trustee (customer) payments

- Processing payments

- Entering and allocating cash in accordance with Ted's bank reconciliation policy

- Run the aged debtors report daily

- Reconciling customer accounts in writing

- Issuing of account statements on the 1st and 15th of each month

- Raising manual invoices and credit notes where necessary

- Produce a monthly cash forecast report

- Sales ledger housekeeping

- Any ad hoc requirements

To be able to support with: (Secondary Responsibility)

- To assess the credit standing of new and existing trustees

- Manage credit insurance limits

- To collect cash in a manner that produces the optimum cash flow from trustees including: payment plans, support accounts and pro forma accounts

- Monitoring the aged debt analysis to identify overdue accounts.

- Chase up all Major and overseas Trustees

- Chasing overdue accounts by telephone, email and letter

- Chase up all Independent Trustees and those on payment plans

- Set up and manage payment plans

- Releasing / holding orders for the warehouse after credit checks are completed

- Create and send On Hold reports every morning

- Run weekly credit control meetings

- Resolving debit notes issues

- Resolving account queries whenever necessary

- Work with the wholesale team to set up new trustees on the system

- Any ad hoc requirements

Tools of the Trade:

- Previous experience within a credit control setting is desirable

- Proficiency in excel and word

- Experience within a fashion retail background is an advantage

- Good understanding of the current retail climate
