Principal Accountabilities

Generation of business for bond desk;

- Manage a part of the balance sheet of the desk by monitoring/ administering asset portfolio & relationships

- Lead transaction execution with support from Leaders and guidance from Team Lead/ Desk Head. Assist senior team members in originating new business, in planning and strategy for Business Development,

- Leading negotiations with clients, guide transaction managers to prepare investment proposals, due diligence, obtaining internal approvals, end-to-end deal closure and asset monitoring

- Business Development / Deal Origination

Identify and provide customized solutions to clients by assessing clients needs

- Focus on new business and client acquisition

- Create a framework for organized tracking of potential opportunities/ clients

- Track benchmark rates, banked deals and yield/ spread movements across maturities in the fixed income space

- Prepare - pitch- to clients

- Negotiate with Clients (& internally) on a bespoke solution, key terms (commercial and legal conditions) governing the transaction.

Credit Appraisal and Due diligence -

- Lead transaction teams in Credit Appraisal and Due Diligence.

- Provide insights on the financial viability of a project to take initial No-No Go decision, avoiding man-hour loss in projects found unviable on detailed analysis.

- Undertake a detail appraisal and due diligence of the project/proposal (Technical/Financial/Legal/Regulatory etc.) and prepare a customized Appraisal Note for consideration for sanction by the Investment and Credit Committee.
