Team Manager - Bioinformatics/Machine Learning

Position : Team Manager (Bio stats/Bioinformatics)

Location : Mumbai/Bangalore

Exp : Upto 14 years

Job Description :

- We are looking for an experienced bioinformatician with strong bioinformatics and exploratory statistics/Machine Learning skills to support the Exploratory Statistics and Bioinformatics group.

- The candidate should to be able implement statistical algorithms and derive meaningful results from the high dimensional datasets.

- He should be a keen learner and quite willing to initiate and share his ideas to a mixed group of researchers.

- He should be a team player and possess good communication skills.

Required:

- Expertise in performing predictive modeling using exploratory statistics\machine learning.

- Quite conversant with re-sampling techniques.

- Ability to convert complex biological databases into meaningful results and facilitate interpretation.

- Strong experience in R/Bio conductor programming.

- Exposure to analyzing high dimensional genomics data sets such as NGS,GWAS, PKPD and micro arrays.

- Ability to thoroughly collate, consolidate and annotate bio markers derived from various analyses.

- Expertise in scripting languages such Perl or Python.

- Expertise in UNIX and high performance computing.

- Exposure to statistical \visualization tools such JMP and Spotfire

Optional:

- Experience with VBA-Excel

- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.

- Ability to develop web interfaces using Java or other similar languages.
