Team Leader - HR with one of the largest retail groups

Our client, one of the largest retails groups, are currently hiring Team Leader – HR for their outlet in Mumbai

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title/ Designation: Team Leader (Store level)

Department: Human Resource / Personnel

Reporting to: Manager Operations

Simultaneous Reporting: Regional HR

Job Location: Mumbai (Andheri outlet)

Travel Required No

Who can apply?

- Smart graduates with minimum 2 – 6 years experience in managing HR Activities with a leading retail group. Post graduation preferred. Only male candidates need to apply.

Key Responsibilities (Job Description)

1. Manpower Planning and allocation

- Maintain manpower in the store as per Budgets

- Allocate staff in various departments

- Monitor and review manpower status on monthly basis with the Store Manager

2. Recruitment & Selection

- Sources applications and resumes for various positions at the store.

- Conducts interviews along with Department Manager for Sales Associate level and with Store Manager for department manager level positions.

- Conducts reference checks and makes offers

- Creates and updates a database of candidates for recruitment at all levels in the concerned departments.

- Ensure timelines are met while recruiting for various departments

3. Induction/ Training

- Imparts induction for new hires within the first 7days of joining.

- Facilitate store induction programme for the corporate new joinees

- Ensure all new hires at the stores are inducted and settled well in their department.

4. HR Operations

- Process new hire paperwork and joining formalities

- Collect the mandatory documents and send it after verification

- Coordination and Distribution of ESI Cards to the associates covered under the scheme

- Communicate employee related policies and ensure the implementation of the same.

- Ensures Identity cards are available at the store and communicate the shortage to Store Manager ensure availability.

- Ensures bank accounts are opened within 15 days of joining for all employees.

- Clarifies all queries regarding HR policies and procedures to all employees

- Maintain the notice board with the information and communication sent by HO.

- Work with the store manager to come up with new initiatives to retain store employees

5. Attrition Control

- Monitor the store attrition % and have dialogues with the Store Manager on how to reduce the same.

- Monitor Department wise attrition and coach and counsel the DM’s to retaining employees

- Achieve Steering wheel targets on labour turnover

- Work with the store manager to come up with new initiatives to retain store employees

6. Statutory Compliances

- Ensures statutory compliances related to labour are met with respect to the store.

7. Employee Engagement and Retention

8. Payroll Responsibilities

- Maintain Store Attendance and

- Maintain leave details

- Assist in all payroll related queries.

- Coordinating & managing employee final settlement

9. Performance Appraisal

- Co-ordinate with the Store Manager regarding the appraisal schedule and ensure all appraisals are conducted within timelines.

- Communicates the schedule to the staff.

- Inform and educate the staff regarding PA method and process

- Ensure that collated report is sent to Regional HR within the deadline of the number of staff

- Increment letters are distributed on time with duplicate copies duly signed

10. Training and Development

- Coordinate with the Training Team or session and in house workshop at the store.

- Conducts induction training

- Identifies the training needs based on employee/business requirements and communicating the same to the Regional HR

11. Grievances Handling and Incident Report

- Store HR must be objective yet sensitive to all the grievances and all investigations have to be conducted with 24hrs of a grievances reported.

- Store HR must proficiently be able to listen to the employee and if need be couched and counsel to resolve the matter

12. Store Admin

- Will process the monthly bills of housekeeping, security, stationery, transportation, pantry etc

- Will be responsible for the upkeep of the staff room

- Will maintain uniform stocks at the store and will facilitate in the distribution of the same

Any incident report has to be reported to the store manager. Any escalation needs to be forwarded to the Regional Manager ops and Regional Manager HR.
