JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title : Team Member - Corporate Strategy (Director's office)
Location - Mumbai
JOB PURPOSE
1. To plan for and lead strategic initiatives for achieving end-to-end execution of projects of organizational importance
2. To monitor business performance across L&T Financial Services and suggest measures to senior management to achieve organizational goals
3. To support Investor Relations function to communicate our performance at investor and analyst meetings
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Planning & Control across organizations
1. To validate and propose to management business plan based on the management vision and market outlook for organizational goal-setting
2. To monitor and analyze business performance vis-a-vis the plan based on various parameters for budgetary controls
3. Based on actual performance, to suggest to the senior management strategies for achieving organizational targets
Strategic Projects across organizations
1. To conceptualize and propose to management strategic plans for existing/new businesses to achieve organizational goals/vision
2. Based on inputs from management, to develop project plans involving internal and external teams for implementation of strategic plans
3. To ensure timely execution of projects as per project plans
Support investor relations function
1. Meeting research analysts and prospective investors to communicate performance
2. Preparing content for IR communication, market and competitor analysis, and responding to analyst and investor queries
People-related
1. To oversee and assist team members achieve progress in individual work areas
2. To ensure development of team members wrt functional and behavioural skills
3. To allocate resources based on job requirements and potential of the team members
3. DIMENSIONS
Financial Dimensions
Specific strategic projects may involve proposals (eg. for M&A/investments) in excess of Rs. 100 Cr.
Other Dimensions
1. Scope of work would include all companies
2. Span of control - 2-4 team members
3. Planning horizon ranges from one month to next five years
4. Special projects and M&A projects of 2 to 4 in an year
5. Investor relations interactions of over 20 in an year
4. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Educational Qualifications and Experience
1. CA / MBA / PGDM from Tier 1 institute - preferably with majors in Finance / Strategy
2. Relevant experience - 3-5 years
3. Analytical aptitude and interpersonal skills necessary
