ABOUT THE TEAM:

Fundamentals Team conducts a thorough analysis of financial statements with a view to provide in-depth, accurate and timely research that supports fundamental analysis of market participants by providing important inputs necessary for computation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including metrics like normalized earnings, profit margins, liquidity, turnover, leverage etc.

As part of this research, the team researches into different documents filed by the companies mainly the 3 main statements - Income statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement along with the related footnotes to identify additional financial information that may be reported across the financial report in the form of snippets.

ROLE:

This is an opportunity to lead the team of growing individual contributors, daily management of collection, Quality Check and maintenance processes and contribute towards achievement of larger level team goals.

This role would involve leading a team of Research Analysts as well as planning, prioritization and execution of projects or initiatives or processes and sound coordination among other team leads and managers across different offices to ensure accurate and timely processing of data and related Quality Check processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead, and mentor a team of Research Analysts in providing accurate and reliable information through crawling and extraction tools.

- Lead the day-to-day operations and manage workflow of the department.

- Day-to-day people management including clarifying queries of the Analysts and ensuring that process rules and procedures are being followed.

- Collaborate with other local/global leaders in achieving goals.

- Handle special projects that may be assigned on an ad-hoc basis.

- Coordinate with all vertical/downstream teams to ensure smooth operations and minimum interruptions for the team.

- Manages the performance review process, talent development and talent management processes of the team. Identifies individual strengths to appropriately delegate work amongst the team.

- Conduct periodic team meetings to discuss updates, statistics, and any vital information.

- Proactively identify and troubleshoot system related issues.

- Ability to multitask, while following a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

- Drive initiatives and suggest lean ideas to improve the business efficiency

- The position would require working in rotational/night shifts on a need basis.

CHARACTERISTICS:

- Good research and problem resolution skills through effective coordination of multi-sites stakeholder management.

- Capacity to give and accept feedback constructively and provide coaching to the team.

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to communicate with people at different levels of the organization and across a wide spectrum of cultures.

- Flexibility to work across various shifts including night shift on rotational or need basis.

- People management skills, ability to build and motivate a team.

- Strong organization skills required to prioritize work and meet established deadlines.

- Maintains high ethical standards both personally and professionally, to maintain transparency in the team.

- Create a healthy work environment that leads to trust, open and effective communication and a cohesive team effort

- Proven ability to work with minimal direction, maintain focus while working with routine tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in Time Series/Historical data generation of Fundamental tables of a company.

- Preferred Education - CA (Chartered accountant)/MBA/Bcom - commerce graduates

- Advance Proficiency of MS-Excel

- Basic Proficiency of SQL

- Basic Knowledge of Lean and Automation would be the added advantage
