Team Lead - Mobile Architect - Investment Bank

Our Client is one of the leading investment bank.

Looking to invest significantly in Digital Transformation to benefit from recent technology innovations which can allow large corporate to be more integrated effectively. hence they came up with a role which is "Hybrid Mobile Architect/Tech Lead" with Enterprise Java Experience.

Essential Experience:

- A demonstrated track record developing high-quality Hybrid mobile web apps containing rich content and user interface components, using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and REST technologies, with support for a range of different tablets and smart phones but with a particular focus on Android and iOS.

- Leading JavaScript libraries and frameworks for mobile web development (such as Angular JS, Ionic, JQuery, JQuery Mobile, Backbone, Underscore, Require, and Cordova/PhoneGap), and ability to compare related open source tools on the basis of performance, complexity, and opportunity for code reuse.

- Familiar with touch interfaces, mobile gesture support, flexible CSS layout, security, and tight AJAX server integration (notifications, WebSockets, JSON) and interaction with different kinds of back-end services, application development paradigms, memory management, file I/O, concurrency and multi-threading.

- Familiar with Spring, WebSphere, Hibernate, Ivy and the Oracle Database.

- In depth understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices is a must. Production release and SDLC for mobile apps (enterprise or Internet deployed) is preferred.

- Experience developing reusable APIs, consuming web services (REST) and processing data (XML/JSON).

- Understanding of performance and platform limitations of mobile devices and mitigation techniques.

- Knowledge of Apple and Google application guidelines and compliance requirements.

- Solid understanding of interface guidelines and be able to design good UX

- Ability to review the Architecture/Design/Code; suggests solutions and improvements.

- Proficiency with MS Office suite including Excel, Visio, MS Project.

- Experience working with offshore development, analysis & test teams

- Good understanding / experience of working in an Agile environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

- Good understanding of RDBMS/ Datawarehousing concepts

- Clear, effective verbal and written communication.

- Team player able to work both cross team and cross border

- Proactive, self-starting approach to work. Ability to 'think outside the box'.

- Demonstrable evidence of working in a challenging environment

- Capable of working in both a team situation as well as capable of being self-sufficient

- Maintain existing design documentation and create new documents, where required to site standards

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

- 12+ Years software development experience with an Object Oriented language. 5+ years of experience in developing on mobile platforms

- Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert.

- Agile Scrum Owner Experience- particularly when used in a globally diverse situation

- Released apps in Apple App Store
