Team Lead - Import/Export - FMCG/Chemicals Industry

Experience required: 06 -14 Years

Job Location: Mumbai

The role supports the Exports, which includes appointing and coordinating with freight forwarders, taking care of all formalities related to export compliance, licenses, documentation (including LC) and shipping India subcontinent region.

Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate in any discipline from a reputed University.

- Identify, negotiate, evaluate and on-board and manage performance of freight forwarders, agents, etc. for cost-effective, on-time, in full export dispatches and documentation

- Coordinate with Business/Sales team, international customers on the order receipt, inventory availability, invoicing and dispatches

- Define and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with respect to order processing, dispatches and documentation and maintain controls

- Evaluates processes to identify opportunities to reduce risks and/or costs for export control activities

- Hands on with relevant incoterms, duties and draw-backs, export related licenses & compliance requirement, registrations etc. required and keeps updated with ever-changing market situation

- Responsible for managing export-related freight cost within the AOP as well as submitting cost provision on time and timely payments to freight forwarders

- Interact closely with Business/Sales/Planning for the Ground-Up Forecast to plan availability

- Results-oriented, innovative thinker with a focus on continuous improvement & demonstrates strong analytical, modelling, and ERP usage capabilities

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management and ability to function effectively as part of a team to gain cooperation of individuals across the organization

- Clear and timely communication in case of any disruptions / change in compliance guidelines / etc. to all the stakeholders

- Ability to work in a team environment and help in growth of team members by fostering a positive work environment
