Position Description

Overview

The content team lead will have the opportunity to own and drive the content initiatives of the company. They will get to define KPIs and have autonomy over initiatives related to:

- Content & SEO

- Blogs or newsletters

Responsibilities & Requirements

Must-have

- 5+ years experience of working on content that supports marketing of tech/e-commerce/educational products & services (preferred)

- Thorough understanding of the concepts of content marketing and the ability to plan and execute campaigns using them

- A creative mindset coupled with an analytical approach to conceptualize new content ideas and enhance the existing ones

- Must be able to deliver quality content in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Should be experienced in handling and mentoring a large team of content writers (10+)

- Should also have an understanding of SEO and must be able to churn content that is compliant with Turing's efforts on these fronts

- A self-starter with high energy and team spirit and who keeps abreast of the latest trends in content marketing

- Excellent oral and written skills in English, strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills

- Strong focus on value creation over volume/activity

Nice-to-have

- Work experience in an editorial background

- Good copy-writing skills/experience with social media/email marketing

- Grad/Post Grad from Tier 1/Tier 2 colleges

- Experience in founding a startup

- Background in performance marketing is a strong plus

Responsibilities:

- Devising content strategy and guiding the team in creating well researched content compliant to it

- Incorporating feedback received from various stakeholders to continuously improve the content

- Proactive tracking of content performance against the defined KPIs

- Collating content performance reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to ensure the team is on the right track

- Serve as the touch point between content writers and cross functional teams for seamless delivery of content

- Manage day-to-day assignment and delivery of content tasks for all members of the team and adherence to timelines

- Mentor and nurture team members for continuous improvement of their skills

- Conduct periodic performance reviews of reportees

- Work closely with cross functional teams like product and design to build integrated strategies
