Job Summary : This position is located within the Analytics and Modeling group, which provides actionable and advanced Analytics solutions to support Business operations and strategy. The incumbent would work as part of this team to support advanced analytics and data mining projects.

- Work on Projects related to Marketing, Operations, and/or Claims Analytics

- Projects will involve data analysis, segmentation, profiling and deploying advanced analytics techniques like predictive modeling.

- Work independently on intermediate to complex level data gathering, validation, manipulation, data mining and predictive analytics.

- Work, with supervision, on advanced level tasks. Lead small to medium size data mining or predictive analytics project team.

- Interact with business teams to understand core Insurance-related aspects and provide analytics support.

- Work within multidisciplinary, cross-department teams on large-scale projects.

- Work towards developing skills for the Analytics team in through coaching and training.

- Formulate and define project objective and scope based on user needs and thorough understanding of business problems.

- Should be flexible to work on a wide variety of Analytics projects.

Skills :

- Strong experience of SAS and R

- Should have worked on large datasets. Should have experience of extracting and manipulating data from multiple sources.

- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of statistics and advanced analytics techniques.

- Experience in predictive modeling techniques - Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Time Series, Segmentation, etc.

- Demonstrated ability and experience of constructing mathematical models from large and complex data sources, including unstructured textual data.

- Strong database skills, including SQL and ability to pull together disparate data sources.

Should have skills to analyze data and provide inputs on trends, patterns, etc. which will be useful to the business
