TeaBox, a speciality e-commerce start-up based in the North Eastern town of Siliguri supplies freshly packaged premium teas across some of the most discerning and lucrative markets for high-end teas like Russia, US, China and Japan. By using e-commerce platform that allows tea drinkers in these countries to browse, select, and order their favourite variant of the beverage, TeaBox is removing the traditional distribution layers of resellers and marketers. From around 3-6 months it took earlier for tea from a plantation in Darjeeling to reach customers in Europe or the U.S., it now takes less than a week.  Since it was launched, TeaBox has shipped around 10,000 kg of teas, equivalent to around 5 million cups across 75 countries. This year, the shipment could treble to around 30,000 kg of teas or up to 14 million cups when served. In its top four markets of Russia, US, Canada and Australia, TeaBox's average order value is around $110 for each package  Position : Manager- Global Consumer Insights  Location : Bangalore  You will be responsible for providing the customer perspective across brand, communications, sales, product and technology at Teabox.  As the owner of the Consumer Insights vertical, you will need to work closely with Marketing, Retail and Technology teams at Teabox to ensure the customer's voice is incorporated in everything Teabox does.  Responsibilities:  - Collaborate with different business & technology units to understand business needs and be the voice of the customer to aid decision making.  - Design, coordinate and execute strategic qualitative and quantitative research projects globally.  - Work with research suppliers to plan and field primary and secondary research projects utilizing an array of methodologies including focus groups, in-depth interviews, online surveys and simulated shopping methodologies.  - Translate Consumer Insights into meaningful and actionable information that can be integrated into tactical and strategic decisions.  - Analyze qualitative and quantitative research data, report and present findings and make insightful and actionable recommendations. Results of this work will be used to inform and shape decisions regarding strategic brand positioning, marketing communications, product development and product line optimization.  - Identify and implement new and innovative research techniques to address business needs.  Requirement:  - You must be comfortable working in a start-up environment. Meaning you take charge and get things done without being told what to do.  - Experienced at formulating research plans and selecting methodologies based upon solving for specific research objectives.  - Strong experience designing and developing quantitative questionnaires and qualitative discussion guides.  - Knowledgeable about the latest developments and research innovation (both methodological and analytical).  - Strong report writing and presentation skills.  - Detail oriented without sacrificing a broad strategic perspective.  - The ability to work independently and be flexible to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.  - Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and cooperative attitude that fosters collaboration and teamwork both inside and outside the department.  - Extreme comfort with ambiguity  Qualifications:  - Bachelor's degree required, preferably in market research, marketing, psychology, sociology or business administration.  - 3+ years of progressive experience in consumer research- preferably in the FMCG/ luxury categories.  - Proven analytical problem solving skills and prior experience with advanced data analysis.  - Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
