Our client is a leading FMCG company.

Job Description

As a Manager - Taxation you will be reporting to the Head - Taxation & Treasury while managing a team of two direct reportees. You will be responsible for :

- Indirect Tax Planning, Litigation Management while ensuring that the reporting procedures and compliance related to Indirect Tax are complete, accurate and in compliance with legislation. And are also well implemented and followed within the company.

- Partnering with business in day to day operation / contract negotiations and key business projects while assisting in Direct Tax planning, providing tax compliance assurance on the business, as well as tax reporting and internal control.

- Managing the tax audits carried out by the Tax authorities while building up & developing the company’s tax network and providing proper and necessary training to Finance people.

- Liaising and negotiating with Tax authorities on Indirect Tax issues.

The Successful Applicant

- As a successful applicant you will be a Qualified Chartered Accountant ( first attempt) with 7 - 9 years post qualification experience. You will have strong experience in product business, preferably in MNC environment with companies that are well known for high ethical standards. Primary experience must be in the Tax area, with proven expertise in handling litigation along with sound functional / technical skills across a broad portfolio of indirect tax subjects (critical skills that are a must are Customs, Excise, VAT, Service tax, GST) is mandatory.
