Senior Manager Nutrition (Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition, MIYCN)

1. To provide technical inputs for designing MIYCN interventions with sustainable impact

2. To design partnership and capacity-building strategy for MIYCN programs

3. To support harmonization of MIYCN counselling and advocacy tools as well as the development of new tools with accurate nutrition messages and workable actions

4. To provide technical support to research in complementary feeding, severe acute malnutrition(SAM), First 1000 days, diet diversity and maternal nutrition

5. To develop financial proposals for nutrition programs

6. To send timely updates to Management on budgets, achievements & progress on work plans and strategic priorities

7. To provide timely responses to queries and audit requirements and ensure adherence to compliances

8. To provide strategic assistance and facilitate partnerships and networking with key stakeholders in government, development partners, international organizations, professional associations and academia

9. To monitor and track best practices and technology innovations in the area of MIYCN aimed at improving nutritional outcomes for children and mothers

10. To identify opportunities to integrate multi-thematic programs (institutions, innovation & entrepreneurship) into overall strategy

Job Specifications:

Knowledge & Skills:

- Nutrition strategy development to improve nutritional status of mother & child

- Program monitoring and/or evaluation including the development and operationalization of project monitoring and evaluation frameworks

- Social and Behaviour Change Communication strategy development

- Ability to integrate multiple themes into nutrition programs

Experience:

10 - 15 years of experience in large-scale program development & management, preferably in MIYCN and experience in the Public Health Nutrition Sector

Qualification - Master's degree or equivalent degree in Nutrition, Public Health / Nutrition Science
