Business strategy
- Collate reliable and relevant data on the external environment, industry, competition etc.
- Carry out detailed analysis of the data for development of strategic options for the business
- Develop financial models, as required, for evaluating the strategic options
- Structure presentations on the strategic plan basis defined output and identify key takeaways
Deal creation / M&A / JVs
- Identify gaps/ issues in the data and provide inputs
- Carry out detailed analysis of the data relevant to the asset
- Develop detailed financial model and analyze key assumptions to arrive at the valuation for the asset
- Identify key value drivers and assumptions driving the valuation
- Carry out scenario and sensitivity analysis for key assumptions to help management decision making for valuation
- Identify critical path activities and manage various workstreams related to M&A/ JVs
Co-ordinate with the key stakeholders involved (such as consultants, business teams, corporate functions, etc.) in the transaction
New business development
- Carry out detailed analysis of industry environment, competition, key growth/ value drivers and risks of the identified opportunity to help develop a value proposition
- Develop detailed financial model demonstrating the attractiveness of the new business, funding requirements and returns
- Carry out scenario and sensitivity analysis for key assumptions
- Identify critical path activities and manage various workstreams (consultants, marketing agencies, etc.) involved in evaluating the opportunity
