Job Description
- To provide excellent program and project management expertise in transformation projects and strategic initiatives
- To bring a standard, high quality approach to programs and initiatives.
- To have a good understanding of Telecom industry and organization-wide issues and be able to suggest creative solutions for resolution
- To participate and support the sponsors in defining the scope, deliverables and key success factors of the projects
- To participate and support the identified project leads in defining the project plan resourcing and tracking
- To be responsible for the recruitment, supervision of Subject matter Experts or Consultants, should this be needed
- To ensure that there is agreed sign off for implemented projects
- To be responsible for maintaining an oversight of all tracks making up the projects, providing reports to sponsor and senior management as appropriate
- To participate and contribute in the sponsor’s review of the progress and quality of the project
- Supporting the sponsor and the lead in managing the dependencies/risks, and interfaces between tracks and projects with other organizational initiatives and priorities.
- Ensure larger organizational and cross functional impact of project related decisions are managed appropriately
- Ensuring that escalated issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner
- Ensuring an appropriate level of communications with all stakeholders.
- To be responsible for maintaining a document storage system that will contain all documentation for the project and its component tracks, and which can be readily and easily accessed by authorized staff.
- Evaluate opportunities for replication and institutionalization
- To continuously bring in and implement new and improved approaches, tools and structures to enhance the way the strategic initiatives are run through various phases.
