TATA Starbucks - Manager - Permits & Licensing

Responsible for licensing and compliance function for West India market and to ensure compliance of all applicable laws, rules and regulations for Starbucks outlets located in West region

Key Responsibilities:

- To complete the process of obtaining permissions, approvals and procuring applicable /Licenses /for outlets located in West India

- To conduct preliminary due diligence for new sites and support store development team in west India market expansion for the company.

- To support store operations on inspections through government departments for license/compliance related issues.

- To assist cross functional teams on drafting of replies and representations before the authorities for resolutions of the issues for West India region

- Vetting of Legal agreements /contracts and sharing reports for new sites.

- To support customer complaint, litigation and representation before Courts, government departments like FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Municipal corporations and labor department etc.

Summary of Experience & Education:

Candidates having professional qualifications like LL.B/CS/CA and having understanding of laws, rules regulations applicable to the business for West Region with Min. 10 years- post qualification experience in Legal, Licensing and Compliance function for Retail /FMCG /Food and Beverages Industry.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Well versed with laws, rules and regulations applicable to Food and Caf- business

- Working knowledge of local municipal laws and other state laws applicable to the business

- Knowledge of Food Safety and Standard Act and regulations under the Act.

- Knowledge of Legal Metrology Act and regulations under the Act

- Knowledge of labor laws applicable for the business operations in West India market

Skills & Attributes:

- To support on MIS reports and presentations for the function.

- Well versed with drafting and conveyance and able to represent the company independently
