This is role for a high performing candidate who will play an integral part in the public/media relations, external communications (with media stakeholders), and content creation (press collaterals) for the Commercial Vehicles business vertical aligned to the communications objectives of the organization. Responsibilities : - Develop PR plans including strategy, goals and tactics for the BU - Develop media relations strategy, to garner positive coverage in print, broadcast and online media - Coordinate all public relations activities - Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media - Manage media inquiries and interview requests - Create content for press releases, authored articles, speeches - Network with business teams to identify potential stories - Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the business and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them - Comes with an understanding of crisis communication - Working closely with the agency team to ensure operational excellence and smooth execution of the communication initiatives - Working with the larger communications team to ensure a holistic approach to communications needs aligned with other business units including internal and digital mediums. - The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. - always willing to learn - Fully prepared to be part of a high performing team, reporting into the DGM - External &amp; Digital Comms in the Corporate Communications function at Tata Motors. Requirements: - Proven work experience in public relations required- 5 to 6 years - Needs to be disciplined - Experience in Automobile/Commercial Vehicles is an added advantage - Proven track record of designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both local and national level - Strong relationships with both local and national media houses - Good written and verbal business communications skills - Ability to multi-task and competence to work and deliver in high pressure scenarios - Attention to detail and zero tolerance on quality documentation - Strong selling skills to craft, pitch and place content externally - Ability to work with multiple teams - Knowledge of social media like Twitter and Linkedin etc. - Ready for extensive travel
