Job Statement :

Managing the end to end process of establishing, sustaining and improving the Trailer axle business with year on year sales growth, improved profit margins, bringing in more new customers and thereby increasing the customer satisfaction index in order to expand/exist in the market of Trailer axle within the scope defined by the management and well within the guidelines of the organization.

Job Responsibilities :

Business Development - New business :

- Establish new business relationships by approaching new customers after gathering the necessary relevant information about the customers from various sources like magazines, exhibitions, etc

- Selection of potential customers by analyzing the potential sale of the customer from the past trend or business background

- Accomplishing the new business by efficient presentation and winning confidence by explaining the tangible and intangible benefits of the products offered by Tata Motors

- Proposing the right price so as to achieve a - win-win- relationship with the customer for the business

- Generating the purchase orders / LOI (Letter of Intent) to start the business. Reviewing the business strategy and trend being followed with the customer on regular basis.

Marketing - Existing business :

- Identify the changing needs of the customer so that the business relationship is sustained

- Exploring the options for value addition in product/service/profit margins

- Study the levels of customer satisfaction and making necessary changes in the product/process to continuously improve the same. Negotiations for price changes in accordance to the market raw material prices and other expenses done in making the product

Sales - Only sales revenue and receivables collection :

- Increasing the year on year sales by timely deliveries to the customer without any issues

- Achieving the sales growth targeted for the year by the company as well as the growth expected in the market

- Coordinating with the logistics and dispatch teams in order to avoid any hassles in the supply

- Monitoring and reviewing the actual sales with the budgeted sales and bridging the gap in case any.

After Sales Support :

- Attending to grievances of customers and taking up with concerned dept for resolution .

- Co-ordination with QA/SERVICE and expediting for speeding up resolution.

Receivables Management :

- Monitoring the credit position of the customers periodically in order to avoid any discrepancies in the cash flow cycle

- Informing the customers for probable crisis situation in the cash flow and following up for the payments.

- Ensuring the payment well within the payment terms agreed with the customer and the management. Monthly / Quarterly account reconciliations so as to have a smooth transition in the financial transactions

Market Research :

- Benchmarking TML product prices with that of the competition and exploring the options of improvement

- Benchmarking TML product with regard to the technology opted by the competition and create areas of improvement

- Analyzing the market trend in order to make a proactive strategy during the upward /down trends in the market. Exploring the options of using the product in other untried applications so as to have wider stretch in the range available.
