Tata Motors - Deputy General Manager - Corporate Sustainability

Job Responsibilities:

- Work in CFTs with internal and external stakeholders to deliver Sustainability Strategy outcomes at enterprise level as per agreed program scope, objectives and timelines.

- Interface with Procurement & Supply Chain, Product Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Customer Care functions to develop roadmap and implement projects related to product sustainability and climate change management in automobile sector and achieve set targets as per agreed timelines.

- Lead the project teams (core & extended) to plan and execute programs to deliver on TML goals around 'Net Zero', 'Circularity' and 'Biodiversity' which have defined milestones and metrics.

- Co-ordinate project progress reviews as per agreed review cadence with Senior Leadership (ED & CXOs) and follow-through on Top Management inputs for achievement of targets.

- Comparative analysis and benchmarking of sustainability performance of Automobile OEMs for internal use (benchmarking industry best practices and identifying gaps and opportunities for improving TML sustainability model).

- Interface with external stakeholders - Subject Matter Experts, Academia, Consultancy Organizations, Service Providers, Industry professionals, etc., on executing above responsibilities and achieving defined milestones/targets.

Technical/Functional competencies:

- Hands on project experience related to product sustainability (emissions, fuels, materials, etc.) and circularity (design for environment, end-of-life vehicle management, water and waste efficiency in manufacturing, etc.)

- Good understanding of TML product portfolio and business models.

- Experience of leading projects and ensuring completion within designated time, quality and cost targets

- In-depth knowledge of national and international standards related to sustainability domain.

- Expertise in Project Management to deliver on targets in timely manner in a complex and dynamic setting.

- Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills with proven analytical expertise

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
