Location: MUNNAR (Kerala) Role objective: To support IR, South India Estates &amp; Administrative functions at Munnar as a common resource for TGBL interests at Munnar. To implement IR &amp; SIE processes in a proactive manner, to protect the interests of TGBL at Munnar. - Design and execute employee relations strategy to ensure healthy IR environment and security of Supplies. - Ensure compliances across TGBL Units at Munnar and safeguard the organizations reputation. - To handle the legal matters pertaining to TGBL; including managing the cases in the courts. Key Deliverable: - Devising an IR strategy and working with unit leadership in close collaboration to get it executed - Creating an engaged and positive working environment in TGBL factories and TGBL supported Units. - Managing legal compliance across Units at Munnar. - Anchor and drive the Gallup survey action planning and execution - Partner and guide the unit management teams on the disciplinary matters - Handling legal matters in collaboration with Legal Department. - Strategizing and supporting the LTS negotiations with the Unions - Keeping abreast of labor law amendments and ensuring the compliance with those - Represent the company during the conciliations and labor matters along with the unit leadership - Proactive networking with the Apex Statutory Authorities and develop good working relationships without compromising on Ethical standards - Devising the skilling and manpower planning of the company units - Proactive and Day to Day engagement with Union office bearers and Key opinion makers in the factory units and also to tackle any issues raised them. - Periodically educate and train the unit leadership on compliance and disciplinary framework and institute a governance mechanism for adherence. Land and properties of the Company covered in the key responsibilities: - High Range Hospital, Srishti Trust &amp; High Range Education Trust. - Pullivasal Estate, Periakanal Estate, Pullivasal Packeting Centre and other properties of the Company situated in KDH village of Devikulam Taluk - (covering approximately 61,400 acres of land and properties as described) - Instant Tea Operations, its buildings and land appurtenant thereto. - Ladbroke House at Munnar and Land appurtenant thereto. - Knights Land in Kottakudi Village, Bodinayakkanur Taluk situated in Tamil Nadu. To appear before Government Authorities and other statutory agencies; interact with external stakeholders to facilitate transparent management of the above properties. To coordinate with KDHP Company and support all legal matters including major cases and to obtain status reports from KDHP and jointly follow on pending cases. To this extent to deal all issues relating to the Company's land and other properties and to appear for and represent the Company in all civil and Criminal Courts. Desired Candidate profile: - Should have good communication skills. Clarity of thought &amp; expression/ Ability to project an image. - The candidate should have People Management skills (Leadership &amp; team building/Behavioral skills/interpersonal skills/motivator/developer/team builder/Team player). - Personality (Body language/ confidence/conviction/professional maturity &amp; judgmental ability. - Ability to adapt to the company's environment. - Importantly, should have a flair for understanding law and operation of legal jurisprudence for effective implementation of legal processes. Desired experience Level &amp; qualifications: - Post Graduate Degree in Law/ Social work/ Human resource management. - 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing set up / Corporate IR/Combination of IR and HR - Ability to speak Tamil &amp; Malyalam; in addition to being well verse in the use of English Language.
