Job Role :

- Drafting & Vetting of legal documents for financing of Infrastructure Projects both for origination and acquisition of loans from other lenders and all other transactions ancillary or incidental to it.

- Giving legal advice, opinion and legal support to the business teams in order to finalise lending transactions and contributing in driving the business forward.

- Studying, Researching and apprising all the stakeholders on the policies and laws pertaining to Infrastructure and its financing by financial institutions including important judgments which would impact documentation and business.

- Imparting legal training to the front and back end teams.

- Legal Audit from time to time of live and disbursed cases so that any shortcomings can be identified and remedied.

- Liaising with law firms for origination and advise on legal structures and documentation required for transactions.

- Liaising with lawyers and managing the filing of litigation cases as and when the need arises.

Qualification : LLB/LLM from a recognized college/university.

Location: Mumbai but will be required to travel as and when the need arises.

Key Responsibilities : (Key Accountabilities) :

- Drafting and vetting legal documentation to safeguard the interests of the organisation and to facilitate the consummation of lending transactions.

- Giving opinions and advise by reconciling the legal and compliance requirements with the business requirements and providing solutions.

- Actively researching on new policies, laws and judgments and preparing notes and circulating for the benefit of stakeholders.

- Preparing training manuals for the purpose of imparting training to the concerned teams in the organization.

- Liaising and maintaining a good rapport with law firms for the purpose of smoothly facilitating transactional and litigation work through these firms.

- Assisting the Legal Head and other team members as and when required.

Competencies :

- Good legal drafting skills.

- Well versed in banking, financial and corporate laws like RBI Guidelines with respect to the organisation's business, Companies Act, Contract Act, Arbitration Act, Regulatory Laws like NHAI, TRAI etc.

- Well versed in Transfer of Property Act and other allied property laws.

- Good research skills.

- Proficient in the use of information technology.

- Willingness to learn.

Prior Experience :

Should have worked in the Banking/NBFC/Infrastructure Finance Company for the last 4 to 6 years or in a reputed law firm which worked and handled transactions pertaining to such companies.
