Tata Capital - Risk - Construction Funding - Mortgage

Key Objective of the Job :

- Developing, implementing the best practices in the Construction Finance Segment & supervising the checks/controls across the locations.

- Management & supervision of the portfolio to ensure quality & stable book growth.

- Risk appraisal & evaluation of proposals. Subsequent recommendation to appropriate level as per extant delegation.

- Evaluation & approval of tranche disbursements, NOC issuance, etc.

- Mentoring & guiding the team whenever necessary and problem solving especially w.r.t the structuring & policy aspects.

- Evaluate the quality & effectiveness of branch underwriting skills, vendor's functioning, regulatory compliance as well as the compliance of internal policy norms and strive for continual improvement in conformation with Tata Capital Housing Finance Ltd standards of best quality and services excellence.

- Monitoring and periodic review of portfolio in Construction Funding Segment & supervising the overall Risk & Credit checks/controls.. Tracking of assets quality reviews and ensuring that all the controls are in place.

- Ensuring the compliances for the purpose of post disbursement monitoring. Monitoring of cost / Cash Flow / Budgets, Escrow monitoring & loan covenants. Comparison and reporting (findings) in line with projections.

Major Deliverables :

- Appraisal of cases at risk/policy level recommended by the biz team from across all the locations. TAT & Quality is paramount.

- Manage overall functioning of portfolio in the assigned area including analysis of project parameters, escrow, monitoring, etc.

- New product development & policy amendments in the assigned area in accordance with the best standards, market practices.

- Manage a small team, whenever required, to deliver on assigned tasks.

- Portfolio reviews on regular basis in accordance with the standards of Tata Business Excellence Model, preparation of presentations & present the findings

- Checking valuations and title reports of project being mortgaged.

- Monitoring of portfolio triggers at the portfolio level

- Location & site visits whenever required and evaluate the quality and adherence to the policy norms

- IT enableness - providing inputs on system capability and other processes within a reasonable TAT.

- Conduct trainings to the branches on regular basis

- Any other actionable desired suitable by the company.

Educational Qualification :

- CA/MBA/ICWA/other Post Graduates (Finance)

Desired Experience :

- 8-10 yrs of work experience in the field of Construction Funding - Mortgages.

- The candidate should have prior experience in Construction funding - Mortgages - Credit/Risk.

Other desired attributes :

- Must possess excellent communication as well as writing skills.

- Must demonstrate capability to manage small team and take additional responsibilities.

- Candidate must be flexible in visiting sites and locations.

- Candidate should have good knowledge of MS office (including MS Excel/Power point).
