Assistant Manager/Manager - Internal Audit - IT Specialist

Role Summary :

The jobholder will assist the Internal Audit in the establishment of an appropriate framework of risk identification and audit prioritization and executing the IA strategy pertaining to Information Technology.

Key Result Areas :

- Conducting review of IT systems, applications, infrastructure and support processes as per a pre-defined audit plan with specific emphasis on technology related processes and controls.

- Doing integrated audits i.e. assisting process audit team in doing testing of automated controls while doing business audits

- Doing ITGC testing required under the IFC Framework established by the Company

- Review the area to be audited and understand the scope of the audit

- Review previous audit reports, if any, to check clearance of key issues

- Prepare preliminary risk assessment matrix (RAM), identifying key risks and controls in the audit area

- Discuss and validate the RAM with the local and regional audit managers.

- Do a process walk through along with the process owners and prepare process flowcharts

- Execute testing strategy

- Perform compliance and substantive testing

- Conclude on the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of key controls tested

- Complete work paper documentation in audit software - Teammate (TM)

- Draft audit issues / reports as per GIA's audit methodology

- Discuss audit issues with operational management and ensure factual accuracy of the issues

- Submit report to audit manager for review

- Input final audit report into TM, before formal issuance

Technical :

- Working knowledge of internal audit concepts and methodology.

- In depth knowledge of IT auditing concepts, techniques, and principles.

- Excellent working knowledge of systems

- Proficiency in use of computers, especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualification :

- Chartered Accountant with CISA or Bachelor of Information Technology or B Tech

- Overall experience for Assistant Manager 3 to 5 years, for Manager 6 to 8 years

- 2 - 5 years in Information Technology Audit related areas
