Qualification/ Education: B.E/B.TECH in Mech./Aero with relevant experience OR MBA/PGDM with relevant experience

Roles and Responsibilities (Procurement,Vendor development):
- Collect & consolidate requirements from user departments
- Finalize specifications, and quantity of requirements in consultation with user departments
- Float enquiry - Request for Quote- (RFQ) as per requirement to competent vendors
- Analyse the quotations received in terms of technical & commercial details
- Negotiate with vendors to get the best techno-commercial deal
- Prepare purchase committee approval note for requirement & price justification for the procurement
- Clearly define lead time, terms & conditions of delivery & payment and release purchase order (P.O.)
- Follow up with vendor & logistics company on the status of the deliverables
- Review pending purchase requests (PR- s) raised by user departments
- Track shortages of material in production
- Prepare relevant metrics of materials available so as to prevent shortages
- Develop new vendors so as to reduce / minimize dependency on any particular vendor
- Try to develop and ensure local vendors so as to reduce lead-time
- Analyze Determine Re-ordering level for materials
- Analyze & determine inventory levels of materials to be maintained
