TIR handles all aspects of sales and marketing in the U.S. and Canada for more than 300 magazine brands, including People, Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune, In Style, Better Homes and Gardens, Food & Wine, Martha Stewart Living, Consumer Reports and Reader's Digest  Job Description:  - Providing superior support to the New York and Alabama based Finance teams  - Perform Reconciliations and Management Reporting  - Responsible for Monthly Financial Close including balance sheet reconciliations, accrual analyses, journal entries, variance analyses for editorial, research & development and trade expenses to support the various book projects  - Accomplish ad-hoc requests / reports  - Prioritizing the on-going reporting deliverables  - Strong "hands-on" background in Financial Planning & Analysis, and Management Accounting and Reporting preferably in a media company (though not a must)  - Prior experience in Accounting and Reporting preferably in a media company  Job Requirements:  - BCOM + MBA is an added advantage with requisite specialization in Finance or Commerce  - Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience - Preferably from a media industry background  - 3-6 months experience in handling MIS  - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)  - Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines  - Excellent Planning, Analytical and Organisational skills  - Excellent Communication Skills  - Ability to create a sense of team cohesiveness and commitment to achieving goals  - Added Advantage - Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and/or COGNOS Business Intelligence System  - Detail-oriented  - Strong team player, Self-motivated  Personality Traits:  - Self-starter, go-getter  - Fast Learner  - Team Player  - High in Energy  Overlap Time: Till noon EST each day
