TARU is seeking a dynamic, innovative, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional to play a key role in leading TARU initiatives urban services and utilities. The candidate will align and contribute to emerging initiatives around SMART City, AMRUT, Rurban Mission, SBM, etc. TARU is therefore considering to engage a Senior Associate to provide necessary support to its operations initiative at national, regional and state levels.

Tasks

The specific tasks to be undertaken are :

- Support in national and regional business plan implementation in sync with organizational vision.

- Support in concept/proposal development, project implementation, business planning, financial modeling, due diligence, project report writing, and monitoring of activities and milestones.

- Provide research and knowledge support to the operations, policies and plans through secondary and primary research including design of methodology and research tools/ instruments, data collection, validation, documentation and analysis.

- Support in developing and implementing programs related projects of urban service and utility sectors

- Develop and review proposal pieces and final text for clarity, consistency responsiveness to RFP requirements

- Represent the organization at various forums including at conferences, workshops, bid meetings, project presentations and other events.

- Support in partnership building with Clients, Donors, NGOs, Technical Organization, CBOs, Collectives, etc.

- Lead in knowledge management through writing stories, blogs, articles in newspapers/journals, etc.

- Develop innovative concept, position papers, and terms of references related to operation

- Work closely with other practices, sectors and regional units in operationalizing agreed plans and strategies.

- Conduct field visits to the project sites and identify strengths/weaknesses in program implementation and provide feedback and technical assistance to improve both individual and institutional performances for effective outcomes

- Keep up-to-date with the work of all of the project teams, as well as the organization as a whole, in order to provide timely information to senior TARU staff.

- Aligning work style with established work culture and leadership team.

- Provides technical assistance in area(s) of expertise

- Any other related activities, as assigned.

Qualification :

- Post Graduate or Professional degree in Urban Planning or any other technical discipline relevant to this role with MBA from reputed institutes.

- At least minimum 5-7 years experience especially with national, international and corporate organizations on urban policy and public services

- Ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas.

- Capacity to develop work plans, budgets, funding proposals.

- Proven skills in project management, implementation, quality assurance, setting standards, business planning, and financial modeling, due diligence, economic assessment; and monitoring.

- Skills in MS-Office, relevant planning/implementation tools. Ability to construct qualitative and quantitative tools and analyses. Knowledge of SPSS, GIS and other software

- Good analytical and knowledge management skills including writing and presentation skills. Evidence of publications.

- High personal & professional integrity. Team player and ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines. Problem solving attitude. Experience of managing teams and logistics

- Excellent networking and partnership building skills

- Ready for extensive travel

- Excellent fluency in English and regional languages would be added advantage. Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders.

Location : New Delhi

CTC : Attractive. The remuneration shall not be a constraint for the deserving candidate.
